On social media, the singer has been previewing the song.
You can listen to Lewis Capaldi‘s brand-new song, “Pointless,” below.
A lovely new ballad by Lewis Capaldi titled “Pointless” has been released; it will appear on his highly anticipated second album. The new song was created with partners Steve Mac and Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol on the first day of recording for Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.
The song follows the September release of the first taster, “Forget Me,” from the Scottish singer-next songwriter’s album, “Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.”
In the chorus, Capaldi sings, “From all my airs and graces/ To the small things I do/ Everything is worthless without you.” He talks of his partner’s ability to “bring me inner peace,” “take away my pain,” and “take me as I am” in other places.
Capaldi recently used several social media posts to preview the upcoming film “Pointless.” He could be seen snuggling up to an Ed Sheeran cardboard cutout in bed in one video.
‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent,’ the singer’s maiden studio album from 2019, will be followed on May 19, 2023, by EMI. Here is where you may pre-order or save it.
Capaldi previously said in a statement about the project: “I felt like I was sounding better because I was just at ease in my gaff. Additionally, I worked on this record extensively with TMS, Phil Plested, Nick Atkinson, and Edd Holloway, all of whom I also collaborated with on the first. Nearly every song features at least one of them.
I don’t want to reinvent myself or come up with a new sound for myself, he continued. Songs about love or grief are the kinds of songs I wish to write.
