Before releasing their “Snoop, Cube, 40, $hort” album on December 9th, the hip-hop supergroup has one more single planned.
To end 2022 on a high note, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Too $hort, and E-40 are finally prepared. The hip-hop supergroup has shared another tune with fans ahead of the release of their self-titled album, which is scheduled for next Friday, December 9.
The song “Activated” features our four MCs returning to the classic California swagger that first won the globe over. It was produced by Shawn Ski and We Got Hits Productions. The song is released together with a video that was directed by Marc Wood and Robert Redd.
The NWA alum declares, “OD, fuck the police / Bumpin’ oldies like it’s 83 / N*gga go-tie, a little salty / I’m an OG, get up off me.”
We then hear from Too $hort. “You give it to real, don’t f*ck with the fake / I show you how much a real mack can make,” the song’s lyrics read. “I don’t hate, it’s not in my blood / All my buddies are pimps who get a lot of love.”
Following suit with their verses, Snoop, 40, and Cube all join in on the chorus. He mostly boasts, “When the homies become ignited / All the bitches are captivated.”
Following the release of recent songs like “Free Game” and “Too Big,” “Activated” is now available. The famed lyricists previously collaborated on “Bad MFs,” which was released on digital music platforms in October.
