CeeLo Green and E-40 are each legend in their own right. Even though the two hip-hop icons have never collaborated musically, one fan mistakenly identified CeeLo as E-40. Using the handle @tivafox, a Twitter user posted a picture of Green and herself at a bar.
“Well, this did happen,” Tiva penned. It was nice meeting you, @E40. I appreciate you stopping at my 40th birthday party, @e40. Twitter users were quick to rectify the young woman’s identity mix-up in the comment area. One tweeter quipped, “He saw this message and was like ‘forget you and forget her tooooo'” Ceelo, a Dungeon family legend. I’m so sorry,” a second person said.
E-40 and CeeLo are silent about the social media blunder. The image was released shortly after the Bay Area rapper and Too Short collaborated to write a letter condemning violence in inner cities. They claimed that “the inner city is like the MMA Octagon—it’s the cage, the trap.” “A lot of violent things happen there, yet many hip-hop artists still call it home.
The streets are still filled with a lot of love, hunger, and hope. Simply put, we need to develop more effective ways to help one another. Both our generation and the young MCs are accountable for this.
